Burgundy’s legacy as an exceptional wine producing region began with the Cistercian monks in the 11th century. Wines of exceptional color, clarity and taste have been produced in this fertile region in eastern central France ever since.

The dry whites and full bodied, velvety reds that originate in Burgundy are some of the most exclusive, and sought after, in the world. The steep, sharp valleys and rocky outcrops that surround the vineyards create a photographic opportunity that is truly breathtaking. Steeped in history and terroir, Burgundy is a rich tapestry of light and shadow, limestone and soil, and tradition and modernity. The vibrant colors of the region are all around you as far as the eye can see. For a photographer like me, it’s like being in heaven.
