ICELAND

Andy Katz Photography - Iceland

Situated just south of the Arctic Circle is an island where the summer nights shine with 24-hour sunlight from mid-May to late July. Iceland is unquestionably a feast for the senses. The Northern Lights dancing in the night sky over Reykjavik. The geothermal springs. The glaciers. The volcanoes. The black beaches. And the strength of character and indomitable spirit of the Icelanders who I met during my time there.

Because 80% of Iceland is uninhabited, the natural features and wilderness areas are largely untouched and visually stunning. Deep fjords, steaming lava fields, rocky plateaus and fertile valleys are a landscape photographer’s fantasies come true.
