California Wine

Ask any vintner where the center of California winemaking is located and the response you’re most likely to hear is a single word: Napa.

Napa means “land of plenty” in the Native American language of Wappo and the vineyards located in the Bay Area are all that and more.

The counties of Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino, Lake and Solano are home to more than 1700 wineries and some of the most spectacular rolling hills and valleys in the continental United States.

Being the owner of a vineyard in California myself, I can attest to the fact that the quality of light here is unlike anything that you’ll find anywhere else in the world. Walk the fields with me at daybreak and seeing becomes believing with every step.
