Bordeaux

Situated in Southwestern France and stretching across an area of over 3,000 miles, Bordeaux is one of the largest wine producing regions in the world. The Gironde River bisects the region in two– a right bank: Saint Emilion, Fronsac and Pomerol, and a left bank: Medoc, Graves and Sauternes.

What sets Bordeaux apart for winemakers is the terroir – that elusive combination of factors from soil composition and climate to the bright sunlight that give the wines produced here their extraordinary character.

For me, capturing the magic of the vineyards in Bordeaux felt like dreaming with my eyes open.
